Optical Fiber Light Source
Handheld Optical Fiber Light Source (OLS) is a device that provides light signals for testing optical fibers. It can input light signals of different wavelengths and frequencies into the optical fiber under test, and connect an optical power meter to the other end of the optical fiber under test, which is used to test the power intensity of the received light signals.OLS is often used to test the attenuation of optical fibers, and to find out problems such as fiber optic connecting points and fiber optic device failures.

The color LCD screen is a game changer for night work. Much better than old monochrome displays.

Does this come with the rechargeable battery option? Can’t find that info in specs.

Used it for FTTH testing today. Super stable output and the auto power off saves battery 👍

First time using fiber tester. The interface is really intuitive but I wish the manual had more examples.

Dropped mine from 2m height during installation. Still works perfectly! That rugged design is no joke.

The ±0.05 dB stability is accurate based on my lab tests. Impressive for handheld device.

Can someone explain difference between SS100S and SS100D models? Which is better for campus network testing?

Been using fiber testers for 15 years. This one’s display is too colorful for my taste, but the functionality is solid.
