The SS322T SM PON OTDR fiber tester uses state-of-the-art optical technology and analysis algorithms to provide users with very short event blind zones ( 0.5m for SM ) and attenuation blind zones ( 3.0m for SM ), thus providing a solution for detecting faults over short distances. (Since the pulse width affects the size of the blind zone, a narrow pulse width is recommended for adjacent events, while a wide pulse width is recommended for measuring the far end of the fiber.)

OTDR Test Curve and Event Type

A picture is worth a thousand words, and the OTDR picture (or "trace") takes a lot of words to describe all the information in it!

The slope of the fiber trace shows the attenuation coefficient of the fiber and is calibrated in dB/km by the OTDR. Connectors and splices are called "events" in OTDR jargon. Both should show a loss, but connectors and mechanical splices will also show a reflective peak. The height of that peak will indicate the amount of reflection at the event.

Reflective pulses can show you the resolution of the OTDR. You cannot see two events closer than is allowed by the pulse width. Generally longer pulse widths are used to be able to see farther along the cable plant and narrower pulses are used when high resolution is needed, although it limits the distance the OTDR can see.

Yes, the SS322T can test multimode fibers. To test multimode fibers, select the OTDR with 850nm and 1300nm wavelengths and test multimode fibers using 850nm or 1300nm.

2.Can the SS322T test single mode fiber?

Yes, SS322T can test single mode fibers, to test single mode fibers, please select OTDR with 1310nm,1490nm,1550nm,1625nm and 1650nm wavelengths and test singlemode fibers using 1310nm,1490nm,1550nm,1625nm and 1650nm, however, we usually use 1310 and 1550nm to test singlemode fiber and use 1490nm,1550nm,1625nm to test singlemode PON networks online.

3.Can the SS322T test PON networks in-line?

Yes, SS322T can test PON network, if you want to test PON network, please use 1310nm, 1490nm, 1550nm, 1625nm and 1650nm to test PON network. In addition, since the 1490nm, 1625nm and 1650nm wavelengths have filters, users can test PON networks online using 1490nm, 1625nm and 1650nm optical signals without interrupting the network. However, please note that it is strictly prohibited to use 1310nm and 1550nm to test the fiber online without interrupting the network signal. Meanwhile, when using 1490nm wavelength to test PON network online, it is required that there is no 1490nm wavelength optical signal in the fiber under test. Otherwise, although the SS322T has an alarm function, it is likely to damage the OTDR.

4.Does SS322T include Fiber End Inspection function?

Fiber optic end detector function is a non-standard function of SS322T, if you need this function, please contact us to purchase fiber optic end detector handle before payment, and we will enable this function on SS322T's equipment.
Please note that this product must be shipped together with the OTDR and fiber optic microscope handle, if shipped separately there is a possibility that the OTDR and fiber optic end detector may not be compatible and cannot be used.

The connector/adapter of SS322T is usually UPC by default for 1310nm,1550nm,850nm,1300nm, and APC by default for 1490nm,1625nm,1650nm (we will confirm with you before shipment, or you can also consult with us before ordering). At the same time, we are equipped with fiber optic patch cords and fiber optic flanges to realize the transfer of APC, UPC interfaces. 3.How do I know if the order is shipped in local warehouse mode or cross-border mode?

The product page will show the shipping country and stock quantity, buyers choose the shipping place as China when purchasing, it will be shipped from China factory, except for the shipment outside of China for the local warehouse shipment (please choose the buyer's country as the shipment place, when the receiving country and the shipping country are not the same, it will be used in the cross-border mode to be shipped from the factory in China).

4.Return and Warranty Policy

No reason to return within 90 days, free replacement within 1 year, free repair within 3 years, lifetime limited warranty.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

1.What is the difference between local warehouse shipping mode and cross-border shipping mode:

Local warehouse mode: take advantage of local warehouse storage, goods are shipped to buyers from local warehouses.
Cross-border mode: goods are shipped to buyers from Chinese factories. (Learn more)

2.What is your delivery time?

Local Warehouse Mode: We ship from customer's local warehouse, usually delivery is completed within 2-7 days.
Cross-border mode: If the customer chooses the warehouse in China when purchasing goods, then we will first search for the customer's local inventory, if there is, then we will ship the goods from the local overseas warehouse, the delivery time is 2-7 days, if there is no inventory, then we will ship the goods from China, the time is about 7-15 days.

3.Is the customer responsible for customs clearance and payment of duties?

Local Warehouse Mode: We will send the goods from customer's local warehouse, customer only wait for the delivery to the door.
Cross-border mode: we will send the goods from China to the buyer, and the buyer needs to clear the customs in their own country and complete the payment of customs duty. Some countries have duty free delivery service, usually we will inform you by email.

4.What courier companies will you use to ship?

Local warehouse mode: according to the local warehouse courier company.
Cross-border mode: Usually use UPS, DHL, Fedex, China Post, special transportation and other courier companies, if the customer has special requirements, you can contact us, inform the order number and the name of the courier company.
Regardless of which courier company to ship, we will first use the optimal shipping channel, and fast, safe, on-time delivery of goods to customers.
