The SS414F fusion splicer is packed with a whole host of new and enhanced features specifically developed with the objective of enabling the user to work faster with higher precision. Overall splice process time has been significantly reduced. This has been achieved with a combination of improvements to the reaction time of the automated wind protectors and automated heater, new fiber retention clamps, improved universal sheath clamps and a redesigned internal structure that matches the protection sleeve to the fusion splice point which enables splicing to be achieved without the need of the user to touch the SS414F once the process has started.

    SS414F is a 4-motor fiber optic fusion splicing machine, capable of high-precision core-to-core fiber optic fusion splicing.

    2.What is the difference between SS414F-211 and SS414F-511?

    The only difference between them is the number of electrodes, where the SS414F-211 has 2 pairs of electrodes and the SS411F-511 has 5 pairs of electrodes.

    3.Can SS414F be used for fusion splicing of trunk fiber?

    No, SS414F is a fiber optic fusion splicer for FTTH, it has low loss, but the splicing loss can't fully meet the requirement of trunk fiber.

    4.When do I need to do ARC calibration for SS414F?

    ARC calibration is recommended in the following cases:

    1. The first time you receive a shipment.

    2. When there is a large change in the environment, such as temperature, humidity, altitude, etc.

    3. When you use the device after a long period of storage time.

    4. Replacement of the electrode rods.
