1.What wavelengths are available for the SS103 OLS?

SS103S1 supports 1310nm and 1550nm single-mode/SM wavelengths, SS103S2 supports 1310nm, 1490nm and 1550nm single-mode/SM wavelengths, and SS100M supports 850nm and 1300nm multi-mode/MM wavelengths.

2.Is it possible to measure optical loss and optical continuity using only the SS103 OLS?

No. The SS103 OLS is only an optical fiber light source that provides only the invisible wavelength of the test light signal during the test. An optical power meter (SS101PV or SS103PV) must be added to the other end of the fiber and the measured value of the optical power meter must be read in order to test the optical loss and optical continuity.

3.Can the SS103 OLS be supplied with a lithium battery as a power supply?

No, the SS103 OLS comes with 3 AAA batteries as standard. The fact that the SS103 is very energy-efficient, can work continuously for 40 hours, has a 10-minute auto-off function (need to be powered on), and AAA batteries are very easy to obtain, which makes it even more convenient.
